In the last year I have sold a flurry of websites. It leaves a guy a little worn out for building a new website. It makes it tougher to gain traction if you don’t have as much to leverage. Luckily there is a lot a guy doesnt sell that he can still leverage. I had roughly 5 high ranking sites still hanging around even if my biggest ones were long sold off.
So where do we begin.
The first major step is in building a new site is building it on a high quality framework. Chris Pearson has done the due diligence like usual of building one of the web’s best frameworks around. In the future I hope to release the Telegraphik Framework in which this site has been built on.
Secondarily start off slow. I’ve built most of my sites using slow work at first then quickly accelerating to a faster pace by bringing on more superstars. I recommend really sticking to one or two projects and then cooling off once you feel the pressure of updating to often.
Thirdly write from your heart. It’s always best to write from your heart and stick to what you are passionate about not what the rest of the world is talking about just because its popular. Yes I like Ron Paul. It doesnt mean I have a ton to say about the guy. I’m not going to jump on the bandwagon just because its the Web Populist thing to do. Remember do what you love and the money will follow, or in this case links.
Lastly, dont worry about links. Let me flow through naturally. And they will. Trust me.
