I need to stop using my middle finger so often…

I was perusing my pal’s website this evening trying to make sense of a few things lately. Somehow she’s often in tune with something I’ve been pondering or thinking about and has a different opposite and unique approach to the situation.

Sharon has a unique quote I found all to apt for myself in the last few weeks with all the circumstances going around.

Her powerful quote I swear that hit me in the chest like a ton of bricks:

It’s helpful to remember that there are some special visionaries who actually managed to walk the cutting edge by giving the world a huge bear hug, rather than the finger.

I realized today that I need to quit giving 91.27% of the world the middle finger and just start giving people bear hugs. It’s a lot easier and less stressful.

I knew watching Mr. Rogers would come back to haunt me later in life.

    Thank you David :-) .

Sometimes I get caught up in the “fight the power/the man/ the whatever” attitude too, but when I realized that Mister Rogers accomplished so much by expressing love and acceptance of everyone around him, I thought, “Now that’s how I want to be.” As you said, this makes things so much easier and takes away a bunch of stress.

Reading about his approach to life, people, conflict, and adversity also reminded me of “The Secret”. Instead of fighting against problems, Mister Rogers created solutions.

He was truly a creative visionary. He believed in abundance and that the world was a good place, even though there were many things he wanted to change. Mister Rogers was a guy who understood the law of Attraction, and he was able to shape his world because of it.

I actually knew you would be into that way of thinking, David. You have some “Mister Rogers spirit” inside you just waiting to come out. :-)

    Hugs,
    Sharon
