So I’ve set out to seize one Blue Ocean. I have noticed my local community doing a really really poor job of reporting news online. I’m not certain that I can engage the local community to find my site but I know that I can give it all I have. In my case its all about production. I have to have a high production site or I will be driven crazy. I use a custom theme that Chris Pearson has designed. I use a picture in each and every post. A blog without pictures is like paper without ink. It’s pointless.
Seizing your Blue Ocean takes drive. Which is something hopefully you have got pounded into your head at this point. Good planning with breed success. Getting out and networking will do you a ton of good.
Don’t worry I’m a super amateur pro blogger but I’ve learned a few things about blogging and the first one is the first month of content is by far the most important in my opinion. Why you might ask and the key thing is that Google will grade your content. If your content is crappy. Google will view your site as crappy and not send you visitors. I truly believe this and I have already seen nice Google searches coming to Telegraphik and I think it is because of the quality that this site displays. So go out and produce a quality production it really does pay off. On top of that it will naturally drive links. Which is something I preach about day in and day out.
Consistency is key to seizing your niche. If you don’t have consistency might as well hang up your spurs and sit back down. Consistency keeps readers and search engine spiders coming back to your site over and over and over and over again. Mostly I worry about readers but some people say those darn spiders are important.
Most importantly don’t be afraid of messing up. You will. I mess up every single day but just by showing up you are way ahead of the game and headed towards successful blogging.
