An Interview With Myself

Who are you?
You may have heard my story. You may have not. I’m a guy in the middle of nowhere who makes money with blogs.

How much money do you make?
Between June of 2006 and today I’ve made around 150k dollars from my blogs. Not bad for a lazy bastard.

Is money the only reason you blog?

Hell no. And the only reason I’m sharing is to debunk the crap that is out there. It’s not easy to make a lot of money blogging. I read the lists of bloggers who are rich and famous and laff. You know what it’s not worth it. Money isn’t worth what I’ve given up to get here. I’ve got ulcers, health issues, I’ve got pain and I’ve got tears. Just the cost of doing business in our industry.

Would you trade wealth for celebrity status?
Hell no. I’ve got no startup capital. I’m an unknown even in my own town. But one thing I’ve learned is if you do what you love and pour your heart into anything is possible. At the end of the day all that matters is your friends and doing what you love not for the money but for the love of the game. Money corrupts. Money brings pain to relationships. It creates jealousy. For every ebook that is out there trying to convince you to pay 29.95 a month to show you how tp make money let me tell you a secret. There is no secret path. No easy route.

How do you suggest bloggers become pro-publishers?
Do everything you do with love. Bring your best every single time and no matter what. When you start to make money never ever forget the little guys who helped make you who you are today.

Are you done with online publishing?
I’m not on the web to make money anymore. I’m here to share wisdom. I’m working on a stealth project that will change a lot of people’s lives. I walked away because no matter what I’d rather have freedom than to be owned by anything. I hate the tech world. I hate most of the companies involved in it. I hate the fakeness of them. I hate having to kiss ass to be liked by all. I hate Silicon Valley and most of California. I will not allow the techsphere to control my income. I will not kiss another’s bloggers backside. I am my own man.

What’s Next For You? You mentioned a stealth project. What do you have cooking?
You know what’s next is just doing things smarter than the competion. It’s doing something because I love it. Doing things because life is all about doing what you love and creating. I think we are all here on this planet to create and do it with passion. I’m so so so so sick of companies doing something just because it will make money. Go find me a decent blog today with a pantheon of writers and it has little to no ads. I’m so sick of companies who are just in this game to make money. Don’t get me wrong. I love to make money. But at some point can’t we just do something because we love it?

In closing
Do what you love. Do it with all you have. If you want to make a gazillion dollars that’s fine. But at least do it because you love it. Remember we only live once. Make smart choices.
